Finch Therapeutics is a clinical-stage microbiome therapeutics company leveraging its Human-First Discovery platform to develop a novel class of orally administered biological drugs.

Finch’s lead candidate, CP101, is in late-stage clinical development for recurrent C. difficile infection (CDI). In June 2020, Finch announced that CP101 met its primary efficacy endpoint in PRISM3, the first of two pivotal trials to support the development of CP101 for the prevention of recurrent CDI. Finch is also developing CP101 for chronic hepatitis B, and FIN-211 for autism spectrum disorder. In partnership with Takeda, Finch is advancing FIN-524 and FIN-525 for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, respectively.

 

Work Hours/Schedule:

Monday-Friday 11-7pm. No weekends.

 

Position Summary

The Clinical Program Nurse is responsible for a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties to support the Stool Donation program (Poop With Purpose) at Finch Therapeutics. The Clinical Program Nurse will work under the general supervision of the Supervising Clinician. He/She is responsible for following Finch’s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the safety of stool donations. He/She will work collaboratively with donor operations staff and other departments to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and maintain constant communication with clinical staff. He/she will appropriately escalate any clinical issues or concerns to the supervising clinician. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously, phlebotomy experience, superior level of clinical knowledge while being able to multitask and provide excellent client service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Clinically screen qualified stool donors
  • Perform phlebotomy, collect nasopharyngeal and nasal swabs
  • Obtain Vital signs
  • Maintain and manage health information on a set of stool donors
  • Properly adhere to Good Clinical Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Educate donors on donor protocols and risks and perform the informed consent process
  • Conduct regular in-person visits or telephone follow-ups e.g. interviewing donors, taking vital signs and health histories, sick visits, etc.
  • Conduct regular donor trainings as needed
  • Educate donors on healthy lifestyle behaviors
  • Organize and maintain donor documentation
  • Escalate appropriate clinical issues to the company medical team
  • Work with the medical team to make clinical decisions regarding donors as required
  • Collaborate with medical and operational staff to translate the latest research into screening practices to ensure continuous and world-class product safety
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and process improvements in the donor program

 

Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Unwavering integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills.
